讲座摘要
In this mini-lecture, I will introduce LINVARIANT, our in-house code developed for constructing effective Hamiltonians to study structural phase transitions. Although the effective Hamiltonian method has demonstrated significant power, its theoretical foundations are just drawn from standard textbooks. I will outline the principles of LINVARIANT and highlight its recent applications in the field of noncollinear ferroelectrics. Specifically, I will discuss our conceptual approach to strategically encode individual polar skyrmions at designated locations, exploring new design strategies for utilizing noncollinear ferroelectrics.
